Who runs this site
This is the personal portfolio of Abed Barakat, based in Crema (CR), Italy. For any question about this policy or your data, write to abed@abedbarakat.me. For the purposes of the GDPR, I am the data controller for this site.
Cookies & tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. The only thing stored in your browser is your theme (light/dark) and language preference, kept locally on your device so the site remembers your choice. That preference is never sent anywhere and is used for nothing else. Because it is strictly necessary to provide a feature you asked for, no consent banner is required.
Fonts
The typefaces (Archivo and Inter) are hosted on this domain. Loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts or any third party, so no external company receives your IP address when the page renders.
Server logs
The site is hosted on a DigitalOcean server behind the Caddy web server. Like any web server, it may briefly record standard technical request data — IP address, timestamp, the URL requested and your browser's user-agent — to keep the service running and secure. These logs are not used to identify or profile visitors and are retained only for a short time. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security and operation of the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Search indexing
The domain is registered with Google Search Console so the site can appear in search results. Verification is done through DNS and relies on the server's own sitemap and logs — it places no script, cookie or tracker in your browser.
If you email me
The contact links open your own email app. If you write to me, I receive your email address and whatever you include, and I keep it only as long as needed to reply and for our correspondence. Mail sent to abed@abedbarakat.me is forwarded to a personal Gmail inbox. I won't add you to any mailing list.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete any personal data I hold about you — in practice, the emails you've sent me. Just write to abed@abedbarakat.me and I'll take care of it.
External links
The site links out to places like GitHub and the live demo at lab.abedbarakat.me. Once you follow a link, the destination's own privacy policy applies.

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it.

Questo sito non usa alcun cookie e non esegue alcuno script di analytics o pubblicitario. L'unica cosa salvata nel browser è la preferenza di tema (chiaro/scuro) e di lingua, conservata localmente sul tuo dispositivo perché il sito ricordi la tua scelta. Quella preferenza non viene mai inviata da nessuna parte e non serve ad altro. Trattandosi di un elemento strettamente necessario a fornire una funzione che hai richiesto, non è richiesto alcun banner di consenso.
Font
I caratteri (Archivo e Inter) sono ospitati su questo dominio. Caricare una pagina non genera alcuna richiesta a Google Fonts o a terze parti: nessuna azienda esterna riceve il tuo indirizzo IP quando la pagina viene mostrata.
Log del server
Il sito è ospitato su un server DigitalOcean dietro il web server Caddy. Come ogni web server, può registrare per breve tempo i dati tecnici standard di una richiesta — indirizzo IP, data e ora, URL richiesto e user-agent del browser — per mantenere il servizio attivo e sicuro. Questi log non sono usati per identificare o profilare i visitatori e sono conservati solo per un breve periodo. Base giuridica: legittimo interesse alla sicurezza e al funzionamento del sito (art. 6, par. 1, lett. f, GDPR).
Indicizzazione sui motori
Il dominio è registrato su Google Search Console affinché il sito compaia nei risultati di ricerca. La verifica avviene tramite DNS e si basa sulla sitemap e sui log del server: non inserisce alcuno script, cookie o tracker nel tuo browser.
Se mi scrivi
I link di contatto aprono la tua app di posta. Se mi scrivi, ricevo il tuo indirizzo email e ciò che includi, e lo conservo solo per il tempo necessario a risponderti e a gestire la nostra corrispondenza. La posta inviata a abed@abedbarakat.me viene inoltrata a una casella Gmail personale. Non ti aggiungerò ad alcuna lista.
I tuoi diritti
In base al GDPR puoi chiedere di accedere, correggere o cancellare i dati personali che ti riguardano in mio possesso — in pratica, le email che mi hai inviato. Scrivi a abed@abedbarakat.me e me ne occupo.
